Hey Sumo-lings! Gil here.

A lot's changed since we first brought Subscribr to AppSumo. You can now take your script all the way to a

finished YouTube video, with ideation and Thumbnail Studio along the way.

If you've got expertise to share and want to build thought leadership on YouTube, I'd love for you to try it.

You can upload your raw talking-head footage for editing, use an avatar, or make faceless videos. We'll bring

in motion graphics, stock media, web-sourced images, and AI images and video clips to help tell your story.

We're including one-time video credits with Tiers 3-7 so you can give it a go. New LTD activations get them

automatically. Your monthly script and thumbnail allowances stay the same.

And if you're already a Sumo-ling, you're included too. Email [email protected] from your account email with

the subject AppSumo video credits. We'll check your active Tier 3-7 license and add your one-time

allowance. You don't need to buy again.

When you need more credits, you can buy them inside Subscribr without a subscription. Tiers 4-7 get an

ongoing discount on regular packs, including previous buyers.

The table has the amounts and terms for each tier, with the full breakdown at subscribr.ai/appsumo.

Thanks for sticking with us as Subscribr has grown. I'm excited to see what you make.

Gil

Hey Sumo-lings! 👋

Gil and Bryan here.

We’ve been heads-down building the biggest update to Subscribr yet, and it’s live now.
Subscribr 4.0 brings two big new ways to take a video from idea to upload-ready:

🎨 Thumbnail Studio

Your script is done. Now your thumbnail can be too.

Thumbnail Studio helps you brainstorm concepts, create variations, remix ideas, and refine thumbnails without leaving Subscribr.

And we’re doing something extra for our AppSumo community: we’re tripling the number of thumbnail generations included each month. More room to test ideas, try different angles, and find the thumbnail that earns the click.

🎬 Video Generation Is Now Live

You can now generate finished videos from your scripts inside Subscribr.

You do not need to move to a different plan to use it. Your AppSumo plan stays exactly as it is.

Video generation uses its own credits because making video has a real per-minute cost. Video credits are now included in AppSumo plans, please see the tier breakdown in the features list above.

A Quick Note on the New Plans

Subscribr 4.0 also introduces new plans: Growth, Pro, and Max. They replace the older Creator, Automation, and Scale plans, which are being retired for everyone, including existing subscription customers.

AppSumo customers are not being left behind. Your lifetime license keeps everything you bought, plus the new Thumbnail Studio allowance and access to video generation.

The difference is simply how video is paid for: the new plans include a monthly video allowance, while AppSumo customers can buy video credits only when they need them. No plan change or subscription required.

We put the full breakdown of every AppSumo tier, thumbnail credits, video credits, and the new plans here:
https://subscribr.ai/appsumo

We’re also still hosting regular community calls. Join us in the community at https://skool.com/subscribr for the details and to meet other creators using Subscribr.

Thank you, as always, for being part of this. We’re very excited for you to get your hands on 4.0.

3 Big Things We Shipped That Change How You Make Videos

Hey Sumo-lings!

Gil and Bryan here. It's been a minute since our last update, and we've been heads-down shipping things we're genuinely excited about. All three are live in your account right now, no upgrade needed.

Here's what's new.

1. Projects: Run Your Whole Channel From One Board

A script is only part of making a video. You've still got ideas to sort, thumbnails to design, descriptions to write, and the whole thing to get upload-ready. That work used to live in spreadsheets, Trello, ClickUp, and a half-dozen tabs.

Projects pulls all of it into one Kanban board. Every video is a card you drag across columns: Idea, Script, Thumbnail, Video Gen, Upload.

Drag an idea card into the Script column and Subscribr offers to write the whole thing with Agent Mode. Click any card to generate a thumbnail, write your description, and work through your publish checklist, all from the same place.

Working with a team? Comments, assignments, due dates, and an activity feed are built in, plus optional Slack notifications. Flying solo? It all still works. You're just a team of one.

2. Your Favorite AI Assistant Can Now Use Subscribr For You

If you use tools like ChatGPT or Claude to help run your channel, this one's for you.

We built a simple installer that connects Subscribr to your AI assistant. Once it's set up, you can just ask your assistant, in plain English, to research a niche, come up with video ideas, write a full script, or design a thumbnail, and it'll handle it using your Subscribr account.

Setup takes one line, and we've got a walkthrough ready for anyone who isn't used to installing developer tools. Once it's connected, using it is as simple as talking to your assistant like you normally would.

It's available on the Automation and Scale plans, and it's fully open source if you want to peek under the hood.

3. Your Scripts Just Got Smarter Models

We're always swapping in the newest model versions the moment they're released, so your scripts benefit without you lifting a finger.

Claude Sonnet is now on version 5, and GLM just moved to version 5.2. Both give stronger results on longer scripts, whether you're using Canvas or Agent Mode. If you already had either one selected in your settings, you're automatically on the latest version. Nothing to change, nothing to re-select. It just writes better today than it did last week.

We also fixed a small but annoying thing in Agent Mode: if you tell it in chat to open with a specific story or skip the intro, it now actually listens. Your template still shapes the structure, but your instructions come first.

We're using all three of these on our own channels every day, and they've made a real difference in how we run production. Hope they do the same for you.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We couldn't do any of this without you.

Two New Features That Are Changing How We Make Videos

The Projects Board + Script Agent Are Here

Hey Sumo-lings! 👋

Gil and Bryan here.

We've been heads-down building two things that have genuinely changed how we run our own YouTube channels. And we wanted to share them with you.

Both are live in your account right now.

📋 The Production Board

One screen. Every video project. Start to finish.

The Production Board gives you a Kanban-style view where you can see all your video ideas in one place, generate thumbnails, generate scripts, and move each project through your entire pipeline. All without jumping between tabs or tools.

We're using it ourselves to manage multiple channels, and it's made the whole process feel a lot more like running a real content operation.

🤖 Agent Mode

This one feels a little like magic.

Drag a video idea from your Production Board over to the script tab, press a button, and come back 20 minutes later to a finished script. We'll even send you an email when it's done.

And it's not just any script. Agent Mode handles the full pipeline automatically. Research, writing, fact-checking, humanizing to remove AI tells, and retention optimization. All of it, without you having to do a thing.

It's how scripts should be written in 2026. We've been using it every day on our own channels and the retention numbers have been great.

We hope these updates make a real difference for your content too. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We couldn't do any of this without you.

Cheers,

Gil & Bryan

3 Big Upgrades You Already Own (Just Log Back In)

Hey Sumo-lings! 👋

Gil and Bryan here.

We're returning to AppSumo on May 11, and we wanted to give you a heads up because everything we're launching is already live in your account.

Translation: if you bought Subscribr on AppSumo, you already own all of this. You just need to log back in.

Here's what's new since you last checked in.

🎨 AI Thumbnail Studio

Your script is done. Now your thumbnail is too.

Describe your video idea and Thumbnail Studio gives you 4 concept sketches across proven formats. Pick one and get a publish-ready thumbnail in seconds.

Or paste a competitor's thumbnail URL, and the AI reverse-engineers their colors, typography, composition, and lighting to generate yours in that style.

Every thumbnail is automatically scored against CTR principles like contrast and readability, with one-click fixes for the weak spots.

Trained on 25,000+ high-performing YouTube videos. No design skills required. Included on tier 3 and up.

💡 Outlier Idea Generator

Never run out of winning video ideas.

Subscribr now scans thousands of channels in your niche and surfaces videos getting 2x to 10x more views than normal. Those are your blueprints.

The AI extracts the title structure, psychological hook, and thumbnail concept from each outlier, then rewrites them for your channel. You get 10 data-backed video ideas ranked by outlier potential, with titles, angles, and thumbnail concepts.

Pick one, click once, and start scripting.

📞 Weekly Q&A Calls (every account, always)

This one isn't new, but most Sumo-lings don't realize it's included.

Every Subscribr account comes with a weekly live Q&A call with our team. Bring your channel, your ideas, your blockers. We'll walk through what's actually working on YouTube right now and help you use Subscribr to ship more videos.

If you've been writing in a vacuum, stop. Hop on the next call.

🚀 Real Results From Sumo-lings Like You

This isn't theoretical. Creators are shipping real wins:

• Hipster reached 100k subscribers using Subscribr

• Chris made $24,000 and 1,130,273 views writing his videos with Subscribr

• Jeffrey is making $1,000/day and started multiple new YouTube channels

For AppSumo Buyers

Everything above is included in what you already bought. AI Thumbnail Studio, Outlier Idea Generator, weekly Q&A calls. No additional cost. You're still covered by AppSumo's 60-day guarantee.

If you haven't logged in for a while, May 11 is the perfect excuse. We rebuilt the things that were holding you back.

Log back in and put it to work.

Thanks for your support,

Gil & Bryan

P.S. We're back on AppSumo on May 11. If you want to stack codes for more credits, that window opens then. But everything in this update is already in your account today. Go check it out 👉 subscribr.ai
