My blog post went viral, and then my site crashed...

If you use WordPress, and care about your site's uptime and performance, then you will like WP Engine

Our Trick-or-Tweet event is over, but don't worry, we scored a killer deal on WP Engine for you.

A few weeks ago I put up an article about how I got fired from Facebook at 10 AM on a Saturday morning.

Within 2 hours and 100,000 visitors later, my site was completely offline.

For the rest of the day I was yelling at my hosting provider regarding my site's crappy uptime.

Lucky for me, my personal site does not make me money and uptime isn't critical.

But if your site is on WordPress and you make money from it or being offline would hurt your feelings then read on...

Jason Cohen is a successful entrepreneur and big-time blogger. He built WP Engine out of frustration for his own needs.

So why WP Engine vs other hosting companies?

  • Hacking protection. I know my site has been hacked numerous times. These guys act like your site's bodyguards.
  • Zappos level support. (Is that a trademarked phrase?) They are available when plugins crash, getting templates installed or other problems you don't want to deal with.
  • Focus. They ONLY do WordPress sites. Sorry Drupal :( They are experts and what they do, they do well.
  • Other badassery. I don't want to list it all. Check out their site but trust me if a fast running site and peace of mind are important then you'll be in good hands.

Here's other people who trust them to host their sites: Foursquare, Ramit Sethi, Williams-Sonoma, HTC and more...

But — Noah? Isn't WordPress free? Yes, but you still have to host your WordPress site somewhere. If customization and flexibility are important to you, WP Engine is the way to go.

You can always buy some cheap-o web hosting and administer WordPress yourself, but when something goes wrong, you get to fix it!

Personally, I pay for cheap-o-hosting and I got what I paid for...

If your site is important, check out this great special we got — 1 year plan normally $348 for just $99.
