Compare that to print with only a $7.20 ROI, and regular online marketing with $21.08.
That was 6 years ago! Think that number has dramatically changed in 2012? I would agree that you are correct, Sumo-ling.
Here’s why email is super effective:
More importantly, when people sign up for your email list, they are giving you permission and screaming in your face saying, “YES! Please send me more information! I want to know what else I can buy from you!”.
How cool is that? And ANY business can take advantage of email marketing, from your brick-and-mortar store to your digital goods ecommerce store.

That is completely incorrect. Although still high, email marketing ROI has decreased every year since 2006. All you had to do was to check your facts.

JP from SitePoint here, thanks for your comments! Yeah, I know where you're coming from, guys. According to our senior editor, the contents of the Email Marketing Kit are still pretty much relevant. Sure, a few updates here and there wouldn't hurt, but it's still a great product. This Kit has never been offered in digital version before. Thanks and all the best, JP

I agree with the other commenters, I love Sitepoint and already own most if not all their books except this email kit. But 2007? Meeeehhh!!

Books from 2009 and 2007: really a bargain? A lot have happen during the last year: HTML5, CSS3, is the marketing tools(s) describe in this book (2007!!) still valid in the new way of customer connection: i dough it.
Michael Langham
I agree. At least with close out items at the dollar store, they're still current. I'd bite on this but wonder why there's been no update to Sitepoint's email marketing kit in over 5 years. Is it because the author's points and methodology still valid, or because the game changes so rapidly that it wasn't feasible for them to maintain updates.
