Here’s what happens:
A lot of people buy an online course of mine. Often it’s the first time they’ve ever bought a digital course.

They’re SUPER DAMN THRILLED with the course because they learned so much, so quickly.

They probably could’ve bought a book that teaches roughly the same thing... and it would’ve been cheaper... but instead they bought a video course.

Why?

Well imagine this:
My first course was “An Inside Look at my “muse” business HouseOfRave”, about an eCommerce business I own. I wanted to show people EXACTLY how it runs, because most people have never seen the inside of a real online business before.

If I had written a book about it... well, even if I showed screen shots on every page, it would still be difficult to understand how it actually works.

However, when I showed screen capture videos of me processing orders, handling customer issues, and issuing refunds... people understood IMMEDIATELY how things were done.

Anyhow, I’ve learned a lot from making these courses, and I want to share this knowledge with you.

Most importantly, my courses have helped people in a HUGE way (I get emails EVERY SINGLE DAY from people whose LIVES I’VE CHANGED because of these courses)... and that’s not a joke.

I’ve learned a lot from the courses that just took off (and still make sales every day)... but I’ve also learned a lot from the courses that did “just ok”.

Now why make a digital course and not a physical book?
Reason 1: People learn better this way. By SEEING what you’re talking about. By being SPOKEN TO by a real person.

Reason 2: It costs almost nothing to develop these courses. One course made $40,000... and my total expenses to build it were... well... pretty much nothing except some bandwidth and hosting charges.

Reason 3: You can actually sell and control your OWN product, rather than always selling someone else’s product (I originally made my first product on my blog because I hated all the Google AdSense banners I had plastered there and wanted to put up my OWN banners).

Woah.... that was seriously terrible. I think I this course is more aptly called "How to build a really ghetto online course with no value." I know that's harsh, but I'm totally shocked that this is for sale.

The video is shot with a point-and-shoot camera that is amazingly shaky. Audio is from the tiny mic on the camera. Video is recorded in the dude's apartment and in a GARAGE!

The content in the videos is no better than the quality of the video. The ideas he presents only work for small scale. His ordering system, video hosting ideas, and password sending systems will only work if you have a TINY number of people in the classes. This will NOT WORK AT ALL if you get any kind of volume. Not a scaleable business.

I teach online courses through a few websites and hoped to pick up some tips on how I could improve, but this was way below the standard.

I'm the same Jim,

I do membership sites for a living. We don't all want to create something on shoestring budget or Ghetto which is referred to far too many times.

I think Nev does mention some Wordpress plugins which will automate the password problem because as you say, doing it manually will be a nightmare.

But, for beginners and if you get the deal price it isn't too bad as a starter.

I like the hip, direct, no nonsense style, and find the content applicable to a range of applications, from work to sideline to (hopefully) fulltime. I really needed the nitty gritty details, and Neville really covered all the bases. I feel fortunate to have come across this course, and it far exceeded my expectations.

This course was nothing short of spectacular! As long as you put sufficient effort to seeing your idea all the way through from start to finish the course should help.

For those who work on an idea/project, get really excited, subsequently freak out that it's going to fail for some reason or another (perhaps technically related issues), and finally just let it slip through the cracks this program could be your savior...

Why?

It's idiot proof on a variety of levels!

For me the technical end has always been my achilles heel until now.

Honestly, I'm probably one of the least tech savy people out there in someways. Still, the course is SO IDIOT PROOF you can literally copy and paste almost everything...COPY AND PASTE!

If you can't do this or feel skeptical on whether it will really help you then your project is probably floundering for other reasons...

Bottom line, the course is worth the cash hands down and oh yeah there is a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! No $$$$ to lose people if you aren't happy with it.

had to return this - was confused on some issues, emailed nev a few times and left a comment on his blog - he never got back to me.

Was hoping that after paying more than $60 dollars I would at least get Nev to return at least one of my emails asking him about the course and for some clarification

On the bright side - Appsumo did refund my money within a few days - no questions asked

We issued you a refund immediately....and it's probably best you stick to VERY VERY VERY basic beginner courses at your current level of skills.

When you get better, then take a re-look at this course :-)

There doesn't seem to be any replies which is a pity. Appsumo dropped the ball a bit on this one. Udemy on the other hand does keep tabs on this and chase you up if you don't reply to customers.

A Bit Light But a Good Starter

It will get you off to a decent enough start but it is abuot how to build the course and not how to market it so missing squeeze page, traffic generation, launch strategies so you will have to find this stuff out elsewhere.

Also, I got very tired of Nevs use of the word 'ghetto.' It's okay to show how to quickly and inexpensively create a course but some of us want to have something a little more polished so rather than continually brag about how cheaply you can do it, maybe some examples of how to use some software tools that cost maybe $200 or so bucks in total.

The comments at the end posted by customers don't seem to get answered either which is frustrating.
