As a seller of sumo-stuff online, this Fat Sumo is SO happy to have a tool that helps me digitally-represent what people are getting.

This tool takes ANY image (like a website screenshot or personal picture) and immediately turns it into a "Digital Packaging" shot.

All ya gotta do is:
Step 1: Take any image from your computer.
Step 2: Upload it to BoxShotKing.
Step 3: Select what you want to make it (a CD, DVD, Kindle, iPad, TV etc...)
Step 4: DONE! It renders the image for you instantly!

Here's a sample of a "Magazine Stack" I made in 10 seconds:

I just Google Image'd the word "Appsumo" and saved the 1st picture.
I then uploaded it to BoxShotKing and selected "Magazine Stack".

::!BAM!::

This image was immediately spit out. It looked so good I didn't even bother to add additional text (which BoxShotKing easily does).

...not bad for about 10 seconds of work eh?

The first thing I did after discovering BoxShotKing was spam the hell out of my friends Facebook profile's with embarrassing pictures of them on DVD covers!

...but then I got wise and realized there were ACTUALLY a ton of uses:

  • Making "Digital Packaging" for selling digital books online.
  • Making "Digital Packaging" for selling your software online.
  • Branding your brand on different mediums (CD's, DVD's, TV's, membership cards etc).
  • Showing your website being read on an iPad, Kindle, smartphone.

Here's another BoxShotKing example I made of an AppSumo Deal being viewed on an iPad:
Once again, the entire making of that picture took me 10 seconds. I simply:
1) Uploaded a full webpage screenshot and selected "iPad Vertical".
2) BoxShotKing let me crop the picture (with a real-time preview).
3) BOOM!... the picture was formatted to fit the screen, tilted, color gradients added, iPad reflection added... ALL 100% AUTOMATICALLY!

Sooooo useful and time-saving.

OH.....HEY DESIGNERS: Here's how BoxShotKing can save you time and make you some extra monaaayy:

Your time usually equals mon$y. SO if you're already making "Digital Packaging" this will save you MASS amounts of time.

Spit out professionally rendered digital packaging in ten seconds... no more adding light gradients, reflections and finding suitable back-drop templates in order to make one image.

You can also add a whole new element to the images you use on blogs, Facebook, your website... because making these professional "Digital Packaging" photos is now so damn easy.

Since there's constantly new items (like iPhones and iPads) being added to BoxShotKing.....they made this a website, and not downloadable software. This means you're ALWAYS getting the most updated selection of templates.

Normally BoxShotKing will run you at $99 for a full year... but we got hold of the founder and CLOBBERED HIM OVER THE HEAD with a block of cheese and demanded he lower his price!

So while he still has stars over his head... grab BoxShotKing at a discount now!

BoxShot - Good, but could use frequent updates

I would like to see frequent updates and some more variations. Ie: White iPhone, iPhone landscape view without headphones.

Maybe cheesy, but it's toasted cheesy (yummy)!

I got this product as I was putting together a couple of 'how-to' guides and wanted to create graphics for them. My products are downloadable eBooks, so I don't have physical products I can photograph. I had already knocked up some product images using Photoshop and they were "Ne-yah" i.e. uber 1960's used car salesman-esqe. To be honest, my initial attempts were still Gorgonzola-cheesy, but at least it only took minutes rather than hours, so that was already a bonus. within 30 minutes, I was producing stuff that was as good as I had seen out there.

So go and buy this. It won't make you a Frank Kern or Andy Jenkins as that's about content (I suspect the Sumos will sell you a product to do that), but at least your product shots will look as good as theirs.

This product is GOOD. It is not amazing. It has some bugs in it and lacks special editing features. You can still do basic edits, just nothing super fancy like photoshop. But for creating fast graphics that look good without any hassle, this tool rocks. I actually just created all of my product graphics in about 30 minutes. Then I put them all together in a "bundle" for the final offer and it looks good. I'm sure with time this tool will be improved and bugs will be fixed.

If you have a need for this sort of thing iit is super easy and while on screen product looks rough, when finalized it prints out nice and clean. Nice time saver. I'd buy again.

Good but not great. UI easy but not 100% intuitive. Likely still need Photoshop or equivalent to knockout images, etc.

Box Shot King is an effective (and fun) tool in my designer toolbox. While there are a few areas it could use improvement in, they're so minor as to be non-essential at this time. The finished product looks fantastic and is as fast to make as they say. Plus, there are built-in textures, abstract graphics, and package details right inside the app. Great purchase!

Wow.... I'm speechless... this should called "How to be a World Sumo Champion with only 5 minutes of training (and eating)". This will save me thousands of dollar this year in graphic design costs and hours! Whatever King Sumo is eating - keep packing on those pounds!
