How I started reading way more books
April 15, 2014
Audible gives you access to thousands of audiobooks wherever you are
I don’t know about you, but I love to read.
Whether I’m learning something new from educational books or losing myself in a universe that’s embroiled in some fictional war, there’s nothing quite as engaging and relaxing as reading.
I do my best to set aside time to read, but it can get hard trying to fit it in with all the other things I have going on in my life.
Frustrated with the stack of books growing on my want-to-read pile, I finally decided to try listening to audiobooks on my commute and my morning runs.
Absolute game changer.
When I’m running, I get lost in the book and before I know it, I’m back at my place wishing my run were longer so I can listen to just a little bit more.
When I’m driving, I no longer get annoyed. Red light? Traffic? More book. Nice.
I get to read all the books I’ve been meaning to read without having to sacrifice my time. I’ve even started playing audiobooks on my speakers at home for when I’m cleaning or doing laundry.
One of the best parts about working at AppSumo is that I get to bother Anton about deals I want on AppSumo and he definitely came through this time.
