20 Free Tools to Make Your Day Better
October 15, 2013
Check out our favorite free tools that we use to help us save time and money, work faster, and kick more ass
A couple of weeks ago, we held a little workshop at the dojo where we all went over some of the shortcuts we use on our computers to be more productive and work faster. We then started talking about free tools/apps/extensions that we love.
Noah brought up one and I was like "Wtf, I've never heard of that tool before! Why you been holding out dog?"
Then I realized ... there are so many lesser-known free tools that each of us use that other people have no idea about.
Here are a couple of my favorite free tools to make your day better:
Shop online and want to save money? Use Honey.
Honey is a Google Chrome extension that finds coupon codes when you're shopping online. It works with over 100 sites including Amazon, Best Buy, CVS, Gap, Macy's, NewEgg, and a ton others.
Instead of manually searching for coupon codes, Honey does all the work to save me money when I'm shopping online.
I use Rapportive every single day and it saves me a ridiculous amount of time.
This awesome Gmail plug-in shows info about your contacts right inside your inbox. Not only that, but with it you can figure out anyone's email address in less than a minute.
Here's a video showing you exactly how to do it:
3. Alfred App
Alfred is the ultimate productivity tool for all you Mac users. With it you can easily search your computer fast, open up different programs, set up hotkeys, etc. Basically, it makes you a Mac superuser.
These are just 3 of our favorite free tools to kick ass.
We put together a list of 20 of our favorite free tools along with detailed tips on how to use them/set them up. This list includes browser extensions, iPhone/Android apps, and other tools.
We hope these tools save you time, money, kick ass, and make your day better :-)
